Every change is written down, and nothing is overwritten
Fikacare records what happened, not just how things stand now. A correction is a new entry beside the old one; nothing is edited away.

Most systems store how things are. Fikacare stores what happened, and works out how things are from that.
When a receptionist registers a patient, the software does not create a patient row. It records the fact "this person was registered, by this user, on this machine, at this time" — and the patient list is worked out from all such facts. The same for a charge, a payment, a note, a diagnosis, a void.
Why this matters to you
Nothing is ever quietly changed. There is no screen anywhere, for anyone, including whoever supports the system, that edits a clinical record in place or deletes one. That is not a policy someone could relax; there is no code that does it.
A correction is an addition. If a note was wrong, you write a correction. It points at the original. Both stay visible, each with its author and time, so the record shows what was thought at the time and what was later understood — which is what a record is for, and what matters if the case is ever reviewed.
Every figure can be taken apart. Because the total was worked out from individual facts, it can always be shown as those facts. Any number in a report or on the dashboard can be opened to see exactly what it is made of. If a figure looks wrong, you are never left arguing with it — see A figure looks wrong.
Money and stock work the same way
There is no editable balance anywhere in Fikacare, at any level. A patient's balance is not a number somebody can type; it is the charges less the payments, added up every time it is shown. A stock quantity is receipts less issues.
This is deliberate and it is the single most important financial control in the system. Nobody can adjust a balance — they can only record a transaction, which has an author, a time and a reason, and which anybody can later see.
A price is copied onto the charge at the moment it is raised. Changing a price next month does not reach back and change what a patient was charged last month, which is what would happen if the bill merely pointed at the price list.
What you will notice
- Nothing has a Delete button. Things have Void, Correct or Cancel, and each leaves a trace.
- A voided receipt does not vanish. It stays, marked void, with who voided it and why, and its number is still accounted for.
- Screens show "recorded by X at Y" more often than you might expect. That is the point.
